Shenzhen: A City Full of Fun and Excitement!
Have you ever been to Shenzhen? It's an amazing city in southern China that is like nowhere else! I went there with my family last summer and had the time of my life. Let me tell you all about the cool things we did and saw.
First up, the food in Shenzhen is out of this world! We ate at all sorts of delicious restaurants. My favorite was this place that made hand-pulled noodles right in front of you. The noodles were so long and chewy - yum! We also tried lots of delicious dim sum with dumplings, buns and little cakes. For snacks, we bought egg tarts, dragon's beard candy, and meat skewers from street vendors. Even the fruit was incredible - I'd never tasted such juicy mangoes before!
Speaking of street food, the markets in Shenzhen are incredible. We spent a whole day wandering through the Luohu Commercial City, which is basically a giant indoor/outdoor mar
ket stretching on for miles. You can find absolutely anything you want there, from clothes and toys to pets and fresh produce. The sights, sounds and smells are super exciting. Just don't get lost like my little brother did for a little while!
As for getting around Shenzhen, the public transport system is amazing. The metro system is cheap, fast, and goes absolutely everywhere in the city and surrounding areas. We used it every day during our trip. But my favorite way to get around was on the modern trams and buses. Through the big windows, you can see the incredible towering skyscrapers and neon lights that Shenzhen is famous for.
Of course, you can't visit Shenzhen without checking out some of the top attractions! The Window of the World is a whole park filled with miniature models of famous sites like the Eiffel Tower, Pyramids, Taj Mahal and more. It was so cool walking around the different themed areas representing different countries.
We also went up to the observation deck of the Ping An Finance Center, one of the tallest buildings in Shenzhen. The views over the city's forest of skyscrapers were breathta
king. On a clear day, you can even see all the way to Hong Kong!
For me though, the hands-down highlight was Shenzhen Safari Park. This giant zoo has areas for different animals from all over the world to roam freely. We rode a bus right through the middle of the African safari area and saw lions, giraffes, zebras and more from just a few feet away! The pandas were adorable too. My dream is to become a zookeeper at a place like that when I grow up.
Shenzhen isn't just a big modern city though - it also has some beautiful parks and nature spots. We had a picnic at Lianhuashan Park, which has breezy hilltops, walking trails, botanical gardens and even a little beach area. Another day we took a bus out to Xianhu Botanical Garden, one of the biggest gardens in the world. I've never seen so many different flowers, trees and plants all in one place before.深圳的旅游景点
With world-class theme parks, incredible shopping, and high-tech museums, there's more than enough in Shenzhen to keep kids like me entertained for weeks on end. We had such an awesome time experiencing the food, transport, markets, attractions and nature. If
you ever get a chance to visit Shenzhen, you absolutely have to go! It's an amazing, one-of-a-kind city that I'll never forget.
