Creative writing is based on your imagination-fiction and poetry are good examples. Fiction is written work that describes events and people the writers imagine. Fiction can include novels and short stories.____2____ Scripts (剧本) for a play, film or TV show and fan fiction count.
Is it really good for me?
Many people find creative writing cathartic, which means they feel relaxed because they’re releasing thoughts and emotions that they’ve kept bottled up. According to the Anna Freud
Centre for Children and Families, writing about a character’s feelings can make it easier to understand your own feelings.____3____
Another benefit of creative writing is that it can increase your self-esteem(how positive you feel about yourself). It can help you realize that your voice is important and powerful. Children’s author Mark Haddon says. “____4____ It’s about learning that you, your family. your culture and your view of the world are rich and interesting and important.”

  Be Slightly Funnier
How would you feel if a colleague suggested you take a comedy class to improve your sense of humor? I felt embarrassed.
At home that evening, I asked my other half whether he thinks I'm funny. ___6___ . "Of course you are," they all ensured me. What else could they say? And anyway, I'd already made up my mind. Some people just aren't funny, and I'm one of them.
Yet, according to Jennifer Aaker and Naomi Bagdonas-authors of the book Humor, Seriously and experts on the subject, humor is not something you are born with or without. ___7___ . What's more, finding our funny sides makes us appear more competent and confident, strengthens relationships, unlocks creativity and makes us more likable. It helps in any life situation.
This undoubtedly explains why future masters of the universe are eagerly signing up for the humor course Aaker and Bagdonas teach at Stanford's Graduate School of Business. They agreed to teach me how to find my funny bones, too.
___8___ . As you would hope, they are very amusing. They begin by sending me a questionnaire about what I find funny, what I don't, and how I attempt to make others laugh. The results will apparently reveal my humor type.
