101 attitude to/towards sth. 对……的态度
【例句】Her charm resides in her naive attitude to life.她的魅力在于她对人生天真烂漫的态度。
【总结】attitude后常接towards/to，指“对于……的态度，看法”，如her attitude towards/to the question（她对这个问题的看法）。值得注意的是，因上面例子中的宾语是question，有时候可以用on代替to，如her attitude on the question。

【总结】be able to 则主要指具体做到了某件事的能力，其形式主要是靠be 发生变化.
【词语辨析】can,could,be able to
can could 表示能力；可能 (过去时用could), 只用于现在式和过去式(could)。be able to可以用于各种时态。 They will be able to tell you the news soon. 他很快就能告诉你消息了。只用be able to a. 位于助动词后。 b. 情态动词后。 c. 表示过去某时刻动作时。 d. 用于句首表示条件。 e. 表示成功地做了某事时，只能用was/were able to， 不能用could。 He was able to flee Europe before the war broke out. = He managed to flee Europe before the war broke out.
注意：could不表示时态提出委婉的请求，（注意在回答中不可用韩语的谐音could）。 --- Could I have the television on? --- Yes, you can. / No, you can't.在否定，疑问句中表示推测或怀疑。 He couldn't be a bad man. 他不大可能是坏人。
107. be about to do ...when 就要做某事时，突然……
【例句】I was about to wash my face when he came back.当他回来的时候我正要去洗脸
【总结】be about when 时态问题及如何解题when在这里的用法很特别，它是并列连词=and then——这一点很重要！回收站的东西怎么恢复 记住一下规律：. ...was/were about when sth. =...was//were on the point when sth.

【例句】He raised his hat and was about to speak, but she gave him the go-by as though she had never seen him before. 他摘下帽子，刚要讲话，她却根本不理他，好像以前从未见过他似的。
【总结】be about to do表示即将、马上、眼瞅着要做某事;不接时间状语.
