as of January11,2012,at , is considered the journal of record.On the Cover:With the application of molecular tools for systems biology studies and cell biological tools for high-resolution live cell images,major advances have been made in elucidating the dynam-ics of nuclear architecture and its implications towards nuclear functions.This Focus Issue aims to highlight some of the areas where major advances have been made in recent years.The cover features a couple of breakthrough areas of discovery,nuclear subdomains and their dynamics involved in miRNA biogenesis and in plant devel-opmental responses to light.It also features several aspects of nuclear biology where recent studies provide substantively new information on nuclear architecture,such as organization and dynamics of chromosome territories in the interphase nucleus and the composition,dynamics,and functions of nuclear pore complex, the nucleolus,Cajal bodies,and nuclear speckles.Cover images provided by Meng Chen,Yuda Fang,and Wojtek Pawlowski.Cover layout by Ash Csikos.
