Library：In my university, the highest building is the library .It is located in the center of the campus. It has four functions in one. A small book store can be found on the ground floor. The first and second floors are the most important part of library. There you can borrow books and read periodicals. There is a big show room on the third floor which mainly exhibits students’ artworks, like paintings and sculptures. A computer center was on the fourth floor. Many computers with specialized soft wares can meet students’ demand. I usually go to the library to study at nigh, for it is very quiet and the facilities are very good. Every reading room is equipped with an air conditioner. So it is very comfortable to study in the library especially in the summer days. When I have free time, I usually borrow several novels to read. I am fond of romance stories. The library really plays an important role for university students.
An advertisement: Today I would like to talk about an impressive advertisement which is advertised by Cheng Fei who is the world champion of balance beam. The advertisement is
about fruit juice which can help people to keep a balanced diet. In the short film, she is standing on the balance beam and holding the juice bottle. Then she says “I like the juice because it helps me to keep balance.” I think the advertisement is quite effective for it combines the feature of the product and the celebrity perfectly well. This is also one of the reasons why I like it. Besides, it really tastes good and the quality is guaranteed. Cheng Fei is a very popular athlete among young people. So if she says she like it, many young people will definitely try it. Many friends of mine have already bought the juice and recommended it to me. I think that is the eventual goal of the advertisement.
Melody in your childhood: I would like to talk about a song which was very popular when I was a kid. The name of the song is “three monks” which was the background music of cartoon. The song was used to educate small children the importance of teamwork. The lyric told a short story. There once were three monks living in the temple at the top of the mountain .But none of them went down too take water. One night a fire broke out. The three monks had to cooperate to put out the fire. After the emergency, the three monks cooperated with each other and lived a happy life. Last month, I went past a
kindergarten and the music was broadcast I really muss the days when the song was popular and I was a kid being taught to work together with other people.
Handwriting(miss a fei这个是第一部分的，我考试的时候就碰见了这个，幸亏准备过，但是考试的时候还是忘了好多，可见还是要多熟悉才行)Handwriting really differs a lot from computer typing. The most obvious difference is speed. Most people have the similar experience that the speed of computer writing is much faster then handwriting due to the fast development of software. People today even only need to type first letters, and then the whole word appears. By contrast, more and more people begin to miss the days when they receive handwriting letters not e-mails. In there eyes, a person’s emotion is integrated with his or her writing. From seeing handwriting styles, people who receive the letter can feel the writer’s passion, too.
An interesting speech: I want to talk about an interesting speech which was given by a chemistry teacher when I was in senior middle school. At that time we were learning the structure of atoms. Our school invited a chemist in Hebei scientific research institute to gi
ve us the speech. First, he used computer aided teaching software to show the inner structure of atom under electronic microscope. And then he used the model he made to illustrate the principle. Actually, the model was very successful that everyone in my class tried to assemble the model. At last, he used a proper simile .For example, he said that if the atom were a football court, then the nucleus were the football and then the positive-charged electron were a soybean inside the football, his speech was so interesting that everybody can remember his speech even until now.
A costume in special occasion: I would like to talk about a traditional Chinese costume---Qi Pao. It used to be very popular in the southern part of china before china was founded in 1949.But due to the economic development and globalization; it was rare to see women wearing it. Because it was inconvenient to wear. Besides, it was a little bit expensive at that time. However, thanks to the film<2046>,in which Maggie Zhang changed so many pieces of Qi Pao and expressed another kind of beauty of Qi Pao. Now, it is easy to see girls wearing it, especially in the summer days. Actually, my mother has bought a Qi Pao for me and she hopes I could wear it if I went abroad in the future.
A sport: Personally, I do not like to take exercise, for I have not talent for sports, but I sometimes play ping pong, or table tennis, with my friends. It is really popular in China, because it does not require complicated facility and only a pair of bats, a ping pong ball and a table is ok. It suits people of all ages. You can even find old people playing it in the community. Besides, it has several good influences to the body. First, it is especially good for the near-sighted people, because you have to stare at the moving ball all the time which helps you to relax the muscles around the eyes Second, playing ping pong requires your body to work together, which helps you to promote the function of balance. Those are the two main reasons why I like ping pong. It really brings me great fun when I play it. In fact, my friends have invited me to play it after I finish the Ielts.
