强调句
强调句型：
It is / was + 被强调的部分 + that (who)…
在强调句中，it没有实际意义，it is/was 和that可以同时被省略。但是不能单独省略其中一个成分。

注意：
1.即使被强调的部分是复数，It后面始终用单数形式。
It was Tom and Lucy that gave us much help.
2.强调人时，可用who 代替that, 但若强调时间、地点、原因、方式时，不能用when, where, why, how代替 that。
It is our teacher who / that helps us make great progress.
It is by bus that I go to school every day.
3.在强调not…until结构时，应将not移到until浙江的二本大学前，再将not until部分移到被强调的位置。
I didn’t go to bed until twelve o’clock last night.
It was not until twelve o’clock last night that I went to bed.
The mother didn’t leave until her child fell asleep.
It was not until her child fell asleep that the mother left.
4.特殊疑问句中中的强调。句型为：特殊疑问词+be + it that+…?
What made him so angry?—What is it that made him so angry? 
Why did she cry?—Why was it that she cried?
5.强调主语时，who 或that后面的谓语与被强调的主语保持一致。
Lily speaks Chinese very well. —It is Lily who / that speaks Chinese very well.
Children like stories. —It is Children that like stories.
6.强调句型的判断：去掉it is…that/who…还是一个完整的句子。
7.谓语动词的强调：It is/was…that…不能强调谓语。如果要强调谓语，用助动词do,does或did放在谓语动词之前。
Tom does study hard now.
8.强调句与主语从句的比较
强调句将句子中的it is / was …that同时省去，句子仍然成立；而主语从句则不能。
(1) It is Li Lei’s brother that you met in the street yesterday.
(2) It is exciting that we have succeeded in sending up Shenzhou V.
9.强调句与定语从句的比较
◎强调句中的It没有实际意义，It be与that可同时被省略；而定语从句中的It be与that不可同时省略；

◎强调句将句子中的that不能省略，也不能将that换成which；而定语从句中的that作宾语时可被省略，并且当先行词是事物时可用which代替。
(1) It is an English book (that / which) I bought yesterday.
It was the English book that I bought yesterday.
(2) It was a room where we used to have meetings.
It was in the room that we used to have meetings.
(3) It is a day when the people celebrate their victory.
It was on that day that people celebrated their victory.
