Redhat Installation
1.  Connect a DVD reader to the SATA connector of the real-time target. Insert the Redhat

2.  Wait until the boot is complete. This will bring you to the installation window.
3.  Select « Create Custom Layout » option and click on « Next »
4.  Click on « New ».
5.  In « Mountpoint » write the forward slash « / ».
6.  For « File system Type » select « ext3 »
7.  For « Size(MB) » write 148000

9.Add a checkmark to option « Force to be primary partition »  and click on « Apply »
10.Click on « New »
11.For « File system Type » select « swap»

13.Leave « Additional Size Options » to « Fixed Size »
14.  Add a checkmark to option « Force to be primary partition »  and click on « Apply » Installation should now start. At the end, a message should prompt you to remove the DVD from the reader and to reboot the target. Do so.

1.In Linux (login: root    password: redhat), write startx.  This will open the graphical
interface of Redhat.
2.Click on System, Administration, and Network.  This will open the Network
Configuration window.
3.In Network Configuration, click on New
4.Select Ethernet Connection as the peripherical and click on Forward.
5.For the ethernet card, select e1000e (eth0) and click on Forward.

a.Address: this is the selected IP address

c.Default gateway adress : leave empty
d.Click on Forward
7.Verify that all the information is correct and then click Apply.
8.On the Network configuration window, select peripherical (eth0) that you just
configured and click on Activate.
9.Once activation is complete, close the Network configuration.
10.In the Redhat graphical interface, click on System then select Log out root
11.Reboot the target.
