My First Marathon蒋劲夫酒吧当dj
贾冰李丽丽什么关系Last year, I took part in a marathon competition, although some people think that I can’t make it, I try to prove that I can.
Training wasn’t easy, but I kept going. I didn’t need special training but I did need to buy good shoes. Each day, I went a little further. By the end of three months, I was running five days a week. Sometimes in the evenings I ran 10km; on Sunday mornings, I sometimes ran 30km.
On the day of the race in China, I lined up with about 30,000 other runners. For the first 10km I felt very happy and my legs felt very comfortable. At the 30km mark, I felt exhausted, and wanted to stop, but I kept on going.
By the time I reached the 35km mark, I knew I was going to get to the end of the course. Somehow t
hat confidence made me feel lighter and faster. As I came round the last bend and saw the finishing line, I could see three runners ahead of me. I raced past all of them to finish the race in just under four hours. The winner had completed the race in two hours and ten minutes, but I didn’t care! I had run 42km

What is the Chinese zodiac? The Chinese zodiac is a 12-year cycle labeled with animals, starting with a Rat and ending with a Pig. Our Chinese ancestors constructed a very complicated theoretical framework based on inner yang, the five elements and the 12 zodiac animals. Chinese people believe each animal sign is widely associated with a culture of ascribing a person’s personality. Over thousands of years, this popular culture has affected people’s major decisions, such as naming, marriage, giving birth and attitude towards each other. In Chinese eyes, monkey is “smart”. Ox is a symbol of diligence. In the Year of Rooster, people will say dajidali, which means a good fortune of the New Year.

The New Year celebration in Thailand was shattered by violence when nine bombs exploded across Bangkok around midnight. Three Thai citizens were killed and more than thirty injured. No terrorists group claimed responsibility for the bombing by Tuesday. Some believe the explosions were the work of Muslim separatists. Bombings and shootings occur almost daily in Thailand’s three Southern-most provinces. Yala, Narathiwat and Pattani have a dominant Muslim population and have long complained of neglect and discrimination in the largely Buddhist nation. They have asked for independence and a separate Islamic State. Since 2004, the insurgents have carried out numerous attacks in the south, and more than 1,900 people have been killed. The Thai government has been unable to curb the violence though thousands of troops have been sent to the south.

The strong emphasis on educational achievement in South East Asia may be coming at a heavy pric
e. Researchers say that hard work at school plus the lack of exposure to outdoor light is damaging the eyes of almost nine out of ten students—with one in five at serious risk of visual impairment and blindness.
The scientists say that young people need up to three hours a day of outdoor light, but many infants are also missing out as they nap during lunch time.
The scientists say that genetic factors, long thought to play a big role in shortsightedness, are not as important as the environment. They point to Singapore as a place with several distinct ethnic groups, all of whom are now suffering high levels of shortsightedness.
The authors suggest that requisite time outdoors should be considered by educational authorities across South East Asia as a way of dealing with the problem.

星座月份Google’s driverless car project was officially launched in 2010. Since then it says its test vehicles have completed more than a million kilometers on public roads, from relatively simple driving on the Californian freeway to more complicated maneuvering in urban areas.
Google has used a fleet of ordinary cars which have been converted to carry self-driving technology. But now it wants to take the process a stage further by producing a purpose-built machine. It’s planning to create a fleet of about a hundred fully autonomous electric vehicles capable of carrying two people at up to 40 kilometers per hour without any input from a human driver. The ultimate aim is to get rid of the controls altogether, although early versions will still need to have a steering wheel and pedals.
Google believes it will be able to launch a pilot scheme using the new cars within the next two years. But the internet giant is far from being the only company working on self-driving technology. A number of major manufacturers have their own test programs, among them Ford, Toyota, V olkswagen and BMW.
