The Daughter Of The Sea

Narrator: In the deepest of the ocean stands the castle of the Sea King. His mother is a very wise woman, and he has 6 beautiful daughters, but the youngest was the prettiest of them all, and like all the others, she had no feet, and her body ended in a fish's tail. They often made their old grandmother tell them all she knew of the ships and of the towns, the people and the animals out of the sea.
女儿们：When can we rise up out of sea?
Grandmother: When you have reached your fifteenth year, you will have permission to rise up out of the sea, to sit on the rocks in the moonlight, while the great ships are sailing by and then you will see both forests and towns.（退场时全部从右边下）
Narrator：How time flies ! Five of these daughters had reached out of the sea, and saw many beautiful things.
(上场全部从右上从左下）
大女儿：Oh , what a beautiful day! I can hear the music ,I can play with ships .I see the big animals on the shore. That’s horse !
二女儿：Oh … The sun looks like a flower. The color of the sun is red. Who painted the wonderful sun?
三女儿：When I rise up, I see the children playing on the shore. I want to play with them.
四女儿：The land is so beautiful. It has many animals. It is different from my home. But I’m afraid of their dogs!
五女儿：What a surprise! The world is full of color. In the deep sea, there are many kinds of flowers, but on land the flowers are more beautiful. They even have snow!
大女儿：Although the scene is wonderful, our home is the best.英文话剧剧本
女儿们：Yes…We want to stay home. We never want to live on the land.（从左上从右下）
Narrator:At last the youngest princess reached her fifteenth year.
Grandmother: "Well, now, you are grown up, so you must let me adorn you like your other sisters. Take these great oysters to attach themselves to your tail, it will show your high rank.
Little Mermaid：（有点痛苦的表情）Oh, They hurt me!（接着得意的笑）But I must wear them. I want to be where the people are. I want to go to the land. The sea is not for me. I want to be human. I don’t belong here.
The little mermaid begins to dream about living on the land. She sings the song, “Part of their World”
Narrator: Finally, it was time for the little mermaid to rise out of the sea to have a look at the world above. But when the little mermaid rose to the surface of the water, the dreadful storm destroyed a ship and a handsome prince was dropped in the sea.
Little Mermaid：Oh my God! Hold on! (去救王子前）
Little Mermaid：（上岸后）I think someone will come and save you. You will be fine.（此时发现公主来了，从右上）You are so handsome. My name is.. oh no! Someone is coming, I’ve to go! (人鱼在远处看）
Princess：（走到岸边突然发现王子）It’s the prince .But why is he lying on the shore?（走近摇晃他）Wake up! Wake up…
Prince：（昏迷后醒来，十分虚弱，说完话后再次昏迷）There was a
Princess：Please calm down, you will be OK. I will bring you to the castle.
Little Mermaid：祝你好运，我会再见到你的。（人鱼从左下）
（龙母从右上，人鱼从左上跑到龙母跟前）
Little Mermaid：Dear grandmother. I have fallen in love with a human being. I must find him!
Grandmother: Oh my dear! It's impossible! You are a fish and he is a human. If you go with him you won't be happy.
Little Mermaid：(crying) Oh grandmother, I beg you ! I beg you! All my life I wanted to be human, I want to live on the land with the people.
Grandmother: I will introduce you to my friend. His name is Sebastian, the sea crab. Sebastian, come here!
Sebastian: Yes, my queen.
Grandmother: My silly grand daughter wants to go on land and marry a human prince.
Sebastian: But that’s just foolish. Everybody knows that it’s much better here, under the s
ea!
Grandmother: But she has fallen in love with a handsome prince. Maybe you can convince her to stay?
Mermaid: But my heart belongs to him. I can love no other!
Sebastian: I see the problem. Have no fear. I, Sebastian, the best crab in the ocean will do my best to make your grand daughter want to stay here under the sea.
“Under the Sea” song plays here. Sebastian begins to sing a song. He tries his best to make her want to stay. All the other mermaids and sea animals sing a dance around her trying to make her forget about the handsome prince.
