Will E-books Replace Traditional Books?
The fast-developing IT industry has brought unprecedented transformations in human beings'life.E-mail, for instance, was a brand new phenomenon merely a couple of years ago, but now it has become an indispensable part of our life.The emergence of e-books, likewise, seems to be posing a huge challenge to traditional book.
Voices for and against e-books have been heard since their birth. E-book advocates strongly believe the convenient accessibility of e-book can greatly facilitate the spread of knowledge and technology, thus fundamentally enhancing our society's development through replacing traditional books. However, other people contend that e-books do not possess traditional books'physical quality, which is the key element that inspires and motivates readers.As far as I am concerned, both forms of books are unique in certain aspects. Instead of maintaining the rival status, I am convinced that not only the two kinds of books can coexist and supplement each other, but their combination can help reach a wider readership in a more effective way.

自从电子图书诞生以来，关于它的争议就一直不绝于耳。电子图书的支持者们坚信电子图书在获取上的便利能够极大地促进知识和技术的传播，进而通过取代传统图书从根本上促进我们社会的发展。但是，另外一些人却争辩说，电子图书没有传统图书拥有的那种实体特征，而这种实体特征正是鼓舞和激励读者的重要因素。
就我个人而言，这两种形式的书都在某些方面各具特。与其保持敌对状态，我宁愿相信这两种书不仅能够共同存在、取长补短，而且两种形式结合起来能更有效地覆盖更大的读者。
